Hosting Onboarding + Migration


This guide will walk you through our hosting onboarding process.

Initial Sign-Up

Navigate to our Hosting Plans page to learn more about our Managed WordPress Hosting & Care Plans. We specialize in website hosting and WordPress development for wedding professionals and other creatives and have over 15 years of experience in the wedding industry. The Edit+Post hosting packages include white glove support from our team, access to our customized client support portal, and direct access to your site via our hosting partner.


After you’ve created your subscription, you will complete our onboarding form, where you will provide your logins and other migration information, including requesting a migration date.


When we have verified access to your domain and WordPress admin, we’ll schedule your migration, ideally on the date you have requested! Migrations are completely free and typically are completed in 1-4 hours. There is no downtime for your visitors while your site is moving. You will need to stop all work on the website while the migration happens, so that you don’t lose any of your newly created content. We’ll email you when the migration starts and when it’s complete, and give you instructions for verifying that you’re seeing your site on your brand new server!

Access to Your Site

Your WordPress credentials will remain the same as before, as will your domain registrar credentials. So, if for example your domain is registered with GoDaddy, you will continue to see it on your GoDaddy account with the same login information.

If you do not already utilize Cloudflare for your website, you will receive a new Cloudflare account login and password. Cloudflare will provide DNS and CDN services for your website, and this service is included in your hosting plan.

Your FTP and phpMyAdmin credentials will change. You will receive an email from us via our hosting partner inviting you to collaborate on our account. From here, you will see your logins for FTP and phpMyAdmin. You are also able to submit support tickets directly to our hosting partner from this dashboard, just in case an emergency happens and the Edit+Post team is out of pocket.

Edit+Post Client Support
