Our Wedding Invitations

I am so excited to finally be sharing picture of our wedding invitations with all of you. They went out a couple weeks ago and we have already received over 20 RSVP cards! I designed, printed and assembled them myself and my fiance drew the flower flourish at the top. My mom, moh and junior bridesmaid all helped with the assembly (which took an entire week!). These are the most intense invitations I have ever made and both Mike and I are so proud of them.

  1. I have to know how you got that gorgeous ribbon to lie so nicely! Is that a special kind of knot? What material is the ribbon? How wide is it? Sorry for all the questions — I just looooove how that looks!

  2. Thanks so much! I did all the printing at home on my large format inkjet printer. I have done wedding invitations on the same printer for five other people. :)

  3. Hi Jana I am absolutely inlove with these invitations i want the exact style for mine. Please let me know if you do them for people aswell and how much you will charge. If not please can you tell me where to order the paper and the name of the paper used aswell as the ribbon.

  4. Your invitations are beautiful! If you wouldn’t mind sharing, what sizes did you use for all of the different layers/ inserts in your invitations?

  5. Hi ladies,

Please see the above comments for a link to where we bought the ribbon. :) We bought all the paper at envelop-me.com. We started with the 5″ x 7″ enclosure (which is actually a bit larger than those dimensions) and reduced all inserts by 1/8″ on each side. That website has a live chat that can help you figure out what each dimension should be. Hope that helps!

  6. Hi Jana! Gorgeous invites! What a great job. A couple questions for you: can you tell me where you found the wax seal goodies? I’ve been looking online and it seems that the kits can cost an arm and a leg! Also, how did the letterpress paper do in the printer? Was it cotton? I’m always worried that LP paper will just soak up the ink like a sponge (in a bad way!) Yours look SO AMAZING! Thanks in advance!

  7. Hi Sarah,

Thank you so much! We got all our wax seal supplies for http://www.paper-source.com. Each wax seal stick lasts a bit longer than what they say it does (but we made ours somewhat small). Be sure to wipe the seal with a bit of olive oil (on a paper towel worked well) in between stamping. For the letterpress paper, it worked pretty well, but definitely order plenty of extra pieces because my printer did leave a few smudges. I tested out all the different kinds that Envelopments makes and found that the least expensive one actually worked best! It is called “100% Cotton Ecru Savoy – Letterpress” and it comes in pure white too. I did not have any problems with the paper soaking up ink and looking blurry, but just the smudges on a few pieces. Depending on your printer, you may have to hand feed the paper, but this paper went through my printer perfectly.

    Hope that helps! Good luck!

  8. WOW! The font you used for your names is absolutely gorgeous! Would you be able to share the name of it please?? Thanks!

  9. Thank you so much Jana! This is the most professional looking and elegant invite I’ve seen so far – fabulous work & great effort! :)

  11. Hello, I tried to email you about invitation questions, but it was sent back. Are you still available at the above address for contact? Thank you!

  12. I love these invitations and am trying to make something similar for my own wedding.

Did you hand cut the light blue paper and the white paper for the main invitation, or what dimensions did you order from the envelop-me.com website? All I see is 5×7 or 4×5 cardstock.

    Thank you!
